What is low voltage?
Our massage table pads use 16 volts. The power supply takes your wall outlet 12VAC and transforms it into 16VDC for protection and safety.

Here is a bit more information, this message pad uses direct current (from the power supply), not alternating current. While some scientists think AC electricity may cause certain health problems, DC electricity has never been thought to pose any health problem. DC EMF's are like those from the earth or from a battery.

I feel some warmth but not a lot. How warm should this pad get?
The massage pad will provide enough warmth to keep your client quite comfortable even in an extremely cold room. You should experiment with settings until you find your average customer's personal comfort level and then of course adjust for individual preferences. This message pad is not like a heating pad (that amount of heat would be too hot to use all over the body for many minutes). In normal operation, warming massage pads do not feel hot to touch.

Can I use a sheet over my electric massage table pad?
Yes. Be aware of how thick or impenetrable it is, so that heat may pass through it. For example, a plastic or rubber sheet may not allow heat to pass through.

How much money will this warming massage pad cost me?
Hardly anything. Your cost depends upon how hot you keep it but even on "HI" this pad uses less electricity than a 75 watt light bulb. On setting #5, it uses 1/2 that amount and so on.
