Good choice
I bought this item with the heated foot warmer mat. I was skeptical of the heat switch, but at times high heat can be too much. Having a choice is good.

Very handy little helper
I use this with the heated floormat that I keep under my desk. I can easily adjust the heat depending on my comfort. I've also been using it to 'dim' my slow-cooker to a slightly lower temp. Older slow-cookers used to go down to below 120 degrees, but newer ones boil everything. This enables you to better control the temp on anything.
