Dry 1 Pair of Boots with Ambient Air! Ideal for employee in-locker use.

The Williams 1 Pair in-locker ski boot dryer blows volumes of room temperature air, inside of your boots, shoes or gloves to dry them safely, gently and thoroughly. Plus, it's safe to run for extended periods of time and not risk the possibility of damaging your boot liners. The compact space saving design gets the boot clutter off the floor and is ideal for tight locations. The simple low maintenance design of this ski boot dryer is built for years of trouble free operation.

Additional Features:
  • Safe and Efficient Drying: Our dryers focus a stream of air to the most difficult area of the boot to dry. The air is delivered at a safe temperature to save sensitive fabrics and prolong equipment life.
  • Proven Health Benefits: Proven under laboratory conditions to efficiently eliminate harmful pathogens in personal protective equipment.*
  • Controls Locker Room Odor: Continuously dried personal protective equipment eliminates the bacteria associated with locker room odor.
  • Boots are stored up side down preventing contamination by debris from above.
  • The drying arms deliver air flow directly to the most difficult part of the boot to dry first - the toe. Drying occurs from the toe back.
  • Sturdy welded 16ga steel construction
  • Durable White Powdercoat paint on all steel components
  • Plugs into a standard 110V outlet and is CSA tested, safety certified (also available in 220V)
  • Compact and space saving design
  • Supported on feet at floor level and fastened to the wall at the top of the dryer.
  • Energy Saving operation
  • 3 foot cord.
  • Blows ambient (room temperature) air. Side holes help pressurize locker creating convection currents which speed the drying of other articles.
  • Drying time is about an hour, depending on air temperature, humidity, elevation and relative wetness.
  • Hand built in North America

This unit is built to order and can take up to an additional 10-15 business days to ship.

Technical

Air Handling
The manifold component of our dryers must be located so as to pull fresh air into the locker. In general, we recommend mounting the dryer on the back wall of the locker, slightly above the floor level and directly adjacent to a hole. The hole acts as a fresh air intake. Additionally the hole is the port through which the power supply leaves the locker. Supply air pressurizes the locker and the exhaust air should be situated so as not to create a short circuit.

Mounting the dryer on the back wall does not take up locker floor space and also allows for drip pans, if considered necessary.

Humidity
Exhaust air has the potential to increase the overall humidity in the locker room. How this is handled is a Mechanical issue as the locker dryer doesn't increase the load but rather improves the efficiency with which moisture load is exhausted into the room air.

Power Distribution
Locker Dryers have a 2 meter (nominal length) power supply. This can be increased as a special order.

Based on the mounting position of the dryer, it is possible to serve two lockers from a single duplex outlet located directly behind the locker. This requires the lockers to be placed away from the wall. As an alternative, we have seen power distribution installed below the locker. Whichever location is selected, it is important to ensure that un-authorized connection is not possible. Hard wiring is another option.

Local code dictates the allowable electrical load per circuit. An "A" series locker dryer typically draws 14W at 115V. Usually a considerable number of dryers (up to 88) can be connected to a single electrical circuit which is either switched or controlled by timer. Depending on use, for large installations switching can be coordinated so that all units need not be on at the same time.

Locker Geometry
Supply/exhaust air plus power distribution considerations must be considered in all locker dryer installations. We have not experienced any difficulties with Locker Manufacturer's ability to incorporate these design needs into their standard designs.
