HeatTrak's Heated Stair Mats melt snow on contact to prevent snow and ice accumulation on walkways and stairs around your home. Made of customized thermoplastic material, the mats are portable and are designed to be left outside all winter long! The HeatTrak mats generate heat to melt snow at a rate of 2" per hour leaving the pathway to your home clean and clear 24/7. The Residential Snow-Melting Walkway Mat and Residential Snow-Melting Stair Mat can be used independently or interconnected with one another to create a continuous system of snow melting mats. With the mats' built in watertight connector cables, you can connect Residential Mats to create your perfect snow melting solution - all on a single plug!
Each eletric snow melt mat and electric snow melt stair tread mat comes with its own built in watertight connector cables.
A customer can use the watertight connector cables to connect the mats to other Residential Mats or to a Power Control Unit. Every group of Residential Mats requires one GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) Power Control Unit to connect the system to an electrical outlet.
This single mat measures 10" x 30" and is designed to be used on outdoor stairs. You can connect up to 15 Stair Mats on a single Power Control Unit or connect Stair Mats to Walkway Mats. For example, connect 3 Stair Mats to 4 Walkway Mats to create a clear passageway from your back door to the car.

Each set of Residential Snow-Melting Mats requires one HeatTrak Power Control Unit to connect the system to an electrical outlet. If you do not buy a Power Control Unit your mats won’t work.
